Some helpful software info...

I have had many questions about what software I use to merge appliques and fonts and I wanted to let everyone know that I use Sew What Pro.

You can find info about Sew What Pro at http://www.sandscomputing.com/

They have a trial version that last 30 days that is FREE! And if you like it you can purchase the software for only $65 bucks! It is very user friendly and a very resonable price! Please let me know if you have any other questions! Thanks!

ho ho ho

Finally got Max and Emery's Santa shirts done...just in time for our Santa visit! Check out my family blog to see a hilarious pic of my two kids with Santa!

Emery's applique design is from Applique Corner. The beard is actually ribbon. Not my favorite design to make (only because the ribbon part is time consuming) but it turns out so stinking cute!
Max's applique is from Embroidery Boutique. I have actually made this one before so it wasn't too challenging! Loving this time of year! Hope to get a few more things made soon!

a raggy ornament

Loving how this turned out!! I actually snagged these pants up from a neighbor that was selling them! I think I got them for about 5 bucks! When I was out looking for fabric one day I found the matching fabric at Hobby Lobby! I was so excited!!

So what to make was the next thing....I decided on a raggy ornament! It is super simple and super cute! You can find this design at Applique Cafe! I layered some red cord behind it and added a little green bow to the top! Like I said simple and cute!
Can't beat it...I got the pants for 5 bucks, the shirt on clearance last year for 2 bucks and the quarter fabric for 1.50. Less than 10 bucks for an outfit! Yay!!

O Christmas Tree....

Loving this cute little tree!! I got this design from Applique Market! It definitely is a little time consuming as you have to pick your ribbons and place them accordingly. You end up with 5 different rows of ribbon but I think it is totally worth it in the end!! So cute and so fun to see your finished product!

shepherd ornaments

I was invited to a ornament swap called A Meaningful Christmas by my friend Melody. Basically you get 24 people together and you each make 24 of the same ornaments to go along with the devotion of the day starting Dec. 1 and ends Dec. 24th and then you swap ornaments so you go home with 24 different ornaments to use daily until Christmas!

Such a neat idea really. I am not sure why but I got the bright idea to applique all of my shepherds (my topic was The Good Shepherd). Let's just say it took me quite a bit of time to make 24 of them but they turned out so cute!

I made 4 of each ornament so that I didn't have to make too many exactly the same :)

I love how they turned out and especially how you can see that you can do an applique numerous different ways to get different looks!

a lil birdie

A cute a very simple outfit for my lil girl!!!

I actually scored these pants from a friend that was consigning her girls clothes! I love them!! Must find out where she got them from!! They are so soft and comfy feeling. And of course they look adorable on my lil girl!!
The lil birdie is from GG Designs. One of my all time favorite designs. I used the chain stitch and love how it turned out. The design actually comes with 4 different stitch options!! So many options to give it different looks!! Love it!!

football time!

A while back I made some football shirts for my son and I am finally getting around to posting pictures of them. First up is a Tiger Truck Applique from Applique Market. I merged in the M using the Millie font from Jolson's Designs. Just perfect for some Memphis Tiger Football games!!

This adorable design is from Applique Cafe. Love the raggy grass on the bottom of the goal!!
And lastly...sorry the picture is slightly blurry. This design is from Applique Market. It comes with the footballs single or together for a monogram. I merged in the M using the Jolson's font from Jolsons Designs.

Just some simple and cute shirts for the fall!

gobble gobble

Made the kids turkey shirts this week!!! And let me tell you the first one was NOT my favorite shirt to make!! I can honestly say I will not be making these babies for other people!! LOL

A BIG thanks to my friend Jessica from www.lovefortexas.com for coming up with this idea!! She is so creative!! She sent me a tutorial and everything!! Even with a tutorial it still took be like 2 hrs from start to finish. I merged in the name using the Waiting font. Not sure where it is from but I think it is similar to the Love letters font that is out there. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this shirt and how it turned out just glad I don't have to make another one ;)
And lastly Max's turkey shirt. This applique design is from Applique Chick! It is such a cute funky little turkey! Max actually picked it out of all my turkey designs and he told me he DID NOT want his name on it! LOL He is just getting too big!!!

pumpkin patch outfits!

I totally forgot to take pictures prior to the pumpkin patch!! BOO!! Oh well most things look cuter on anyways!! LOL

Emery's pumpkin and Max's is actually the scallop pumpkin from Applique Market. I just deleted the scallop patch behind it! I love how it looks!! Emery's font is the Grins and Giggles from Applique Frenzy and Max's font is ugh...I have no idea!! I have so many fonts and this is not one I typically use. I will try and figure it out and let you know asap!
I did make Emery's pants this time around! I think I actually tweaked the pattern "Britches and Bloomers" enough to make them almost a perfect fit!! This being my first pair...they are not the greatest...especially if you look real close but they served there purpose and still looked cute :)

a few things for Emery!

With fall hitting us fast I needed to get to work on some things for Emery!! I found these adorable pants at a consignment sale new for $12!! Anyways, I figured I could make some cute shirts to go with them. First up is just a simple monogram using the Sunny font which I use ALL the time!! One of my favorite fonts!!

Next up a play outfit. I used the applique font Tiny from Embroidery Boutique. This was the raggy option!
Got the shirt last year at Walmart on clearance for 2 bucks and the little leggings on clearance at Target for 1.50!! So made it a cute little outfit for under 5 bucks!!

These are the other pair of ruffle pants I got at a consignment sale new for $12!! Made another simple monogram shirt using the Embroidery Font 2 from 8 Claws and a Paw.

I got the cute little lettuce edges shirt from Walmart this year!! They cost $3.88. They run a little small just for your info :)

baby gifts!

Made a couple of baby gifts for friends from church!

The football applique is from Applique Alley. I used the zigzag option and then I merged in the name summit using the Millie font from Jolson's Designs!
This cute little train applique is from Applique Cafe and I merged in the name using the Millie font from Jolson's Designs! So sweet! I love some baby gowns!!

A few Halloween shirts...

First one is for a friend...she was so sweet to lend me some clothes for Emery a while back (actually newborn-6months since I was on bedrest and couldn't really do much shopping). I wanted to do something to THANK her!!

It only took me about a year...sigh...but at least I came up with something cute!! LOL

This adorable pumpkin scallop applique is from Applique Market! I merged in the girls names using the Grins and Giggles font from Applique Frenzy.
Next up is a cute little bat from Embroidery Boutique! Love how simple this design is!!

And lastly a little girlie ghost from Swak Embroidery site. There is actually a matching brother one with a bowtie! Super cute!!

Baseball Tee

A friend of mine brought me this shirt (that she found on clearance at Old Navy for a buck!) and wanted me to do something on it. After looking at different appliques we decided on a baseball glove! This cute little applique is from Embroidery Boutique! She didn't want any names seeing as she has 3 boys and this was for the oldest. Good shirt to pass down!!

Gotta LOVE them VOLS!

First up is one for my little princess!! This applique can be found on etsy. I can't remember where exactly but I am sure if you google it you will find it. I merged in the Go Vols using the Grins and Giggles font from Applique Frenzy. Probably one of my favorite fonts right now!

Secondly, is one for my lil man. This applique came from Applique Frenzy and the T on the shirt actually came with the design for the 5x7 design only.
And last one was for a friend of mines daughter. I saw a design similar to this and figured I could make one myself....so I merged together the letters using the Applique font Cade from Embroidery Boutique. I love how this turned out! I will be making Emery one asap!

Like I said above...Gotta LOVE some VOLS!!!

big, big, big, and lil

A good friend of mine is finally having a lil girl!!! I was so delighted to make these shirts for her when she asked!! How much fun is that to have 3 sweet little boys and now to add a little princess to the mix!!

It took a little while for her to decide on a design but I think we hit it head on when we did!! I used the Cade zig zag applique font from Embroidery Boutique for the big and merged in the brother using the Tipsy Topsy font from Applique Frenzy!
For the lil princess I used the Cheri vintage applique font from Embroidery Boutique and merged in the sister using the Tipsy Topsy font so they could be somewhat similar.

Can't wait to see a picture of her sweet family wearing these!! Less than 2 weeks away!! Praying for you dear friend!!

strawberry birthday girl!

So my daughter just had her first birthday and I wanted to come up with some cute things to go with her Strawberry Birthday Party! First up...a party hat!! The 1 is from Anna Kate Applique font from Applique Momma and I merged in birthday girl using the Grasshopper Font from Applique Frenzy. Glued the material to the hat and added some green fuzzy stuff and there you have it!

The official party tee!! Here I used the same 1 from the Anna Kate font, a strawberry applique from Applique Cafe and merged in her name using the Grasshopper font.
The bloomers are the same design I used on the party hat. I made some bows and pinned them on the bottom so I could use them on other things!

The tutu was super easy too! I got the rolls of tulle from Hobby Lobby. I used elastic as my base part and sewed it together. Put on the tulle alternating with green, red, white, and pink. Then added some ribbon for just a little extra cuteness :)

The complete look!!!
And her bloomers!!
I love how it all turned out! I mean I am a little partial but I think she looked so adorable!!!
