Some helpful software info...

I have had many questions about what software I use to merge appliques and fonts and I wanted to let everyone know that I use Sew What Pro.

You can find info about Sew What Pro at http://www.sandscomputing.com/

They have a trial version that last 30 days that is FREE! And if you like it you can purchase the software for only $65 bucks! It is very user friendly and a very resonable price! Please let me know if you have any other questions! Thanks!

a few outfits for the kids..

This is my Kelly Kid's look a like outfit for way way cheaper!! Thanks to Walmart! I got the shirt and shorts for 4 bucks each. I grabbed an extra pair of shorts and used for the applique.

This applique design can be found at Applique Cafe. Super cute and simple! My favorite designs ;)
Did the same thing with this outfit. Shirt and shorts from Walmart!

I used the Cade font from Embroidery Boutique in the zig zag option. I actually merged the letters together and overlapped them some so that I could make the design as big as I could.

And last thing I made before my machine starting acting crazy :( I got this adorable cotton dress at Old Navy and just monogrammed an E on it in the Dollhouse Embroidery Font from The Itch 2 Stitch...one of my favorite fonts!

So my machine has been in the shop for a few days now...hope to get it back very soon so I can get back to making the kids summer wardrobe!!!

Tutu CUTE!

My friend Samantha brought me this cute little swimsuit that she picked up at Target!

She wanted her daughter's monogram (Vera Kate) on the swimsuit.

I had to be honest with her that I did a swimsuit similar for Emery last year and I didn't really love how it turned out. However, I was willing to try again. I am so glad I did because I think it turned out super cute!! Love the yellow Samantha choose for her thread color!!

Choo Choo Birthday!

My friend Kim contacted me to make something for her son Jake's 2nd Birthday!! She told me Jake LOVES trains and I could just make whatever I wanted. I love it when people just say go for it!!

Kim wanted a generic bib so that she could get more use out of it. So I decided on this cute little embroidery design from Embroidery Online. I just had to color coordinate it with his train shirt ;) I am all about some matchy matchy!
And I LOVE how the shirt turned out!! The applique is from Embroidery Boutique. I used Sew What Pro to flip the design around. Then I merged in Jake's name using the Tipsy Topsy Font from Applique Frenzy. Cute! Cute! Cute!!

On the back I used the Chunky Applique Font from Embroidery Boutique! I just love this plaid from Fabric Finders!!

I thought I took a picture of the shorts I threw in for a surprise but I forgot! I sent Jake Max's plaid shorts (same plaid I used on the train and the 2) from last year. Figured why not pass his shorts that I made him onto another sweet little boy!! Hope you loved your surprise for Jake, Kim!!
