Some helpful software info...

I have had many questions about what software I use to merge appliques and fonts and I wanted to let everyone know that I use Sew What Pro.

You can find info about Sew What Pro at http://www.sandscomputing.com/

They have a trial version that last 30 days that is FREE! And if you like it you can purchase the software for only $65 bucks! It is very user friendly and a very resonable price! Please let me know if you have any other questions! Thanks!

Winter ONEderland Birthday!

I got the pleasure of making a FIRST birthday shirt for my friend Ann Marie's sweet baby boy Colton!!
She was doing a Winter ONEderland them and wanted something boyish!! She sent me a few ideas and I sent her a few ideas...all of which we found looking on the Internet. However, I decided to make a few of my own. This little number came together with the help of many different digitizers ;) First up the applique 1 is from the Landon Applique Font from Planet Applique. The snowman applique is from Applique Market. I merged in his name using the Scooter font from Jolson's Designs. And lastly, the snowflakes actually came from part of an applique/embroidery design off of Planet Applique. The design was Be Merry. I just deleted the Be Merry part and moved the snowflakes around until they looked good on the design I merged together. A lot of steps but it turned out SUPER CUTE and I had one HAPPY Momma!! So in the end it was TOTALLY worth it!!

I made the skirt using the Easy Skirt Pattern from You Can Make This. Com!! So simple and cute!!

skating birthday shirt!

A skating BIRTHDAY shirt!! I used the skate applique from Applique Cafe and merged in the number 7 and her name using the _____(I can't remember the name) font from 8 Paws and a Claw! Final touch was a homemade little bow to pin at the top of the skate for the laces!! Super cute!!

cowboy birthday shirt!

A little cowboy birthday shirt that I threw together for my friend Monica's son Palmer!! I actually used the yonder applique font from Planet Applique and merged in the applique cowboy hat from Applique Cafe. Then I merged in his name using the Whoa Nelly font from 8 Paws and a Claw! Love how it turned out!! Here's hoping the birthday boy loves it just as much!

Choo Choo Birthday!

My friend Kim contacted me to make something for her son Jake's 2nd Birthday!! She told me Jake LOVES trains and I could just make whatever I wanted. I love it when people just say go for it!!

Kim wanted a generic bib so that she could get more use out of it. So I decided on this cute little embroidery design from Embroidery Online. I just had to color coordinate it with his train shirt ;) I am all about some matchy matchy!
And I LOVE how the shirt turned out!! The applique is from Embroidery Boutique. I used Sew What Pro to flip the design around. Then I merged in Jake's name using the Tipsy Topsy Font from Applique Frenzy. Cute! Cute! Cute!!

On the back I used the Chunky Applique Font from Embroidery Boutique! I just love this plaid from Fabric Finders!!

I thought I took a picture of the shorts I threw in for a surprise but I forgot! I sent Jake Max's plaid shorts (same plaid I used on the train and the 2) from last year. Figured why not pass his shorts that I made him onto another sweet little boy!! Hope you loved your surprise for Jake, Kim!!

firetruck birthday!

A dear friend contacted me recently to make a shirt and bib for her nephew's FIRETRUCK birthday!!! I of course said "Yes!"

This little firetruck is from Applique Market. I merged in his name and the number 2 using the Architect font from GG designs.
On the back I put an applique number 2 using the Chunky Applique font from Embroidery Boutique.
The bib I used the same 2 that I used on the back of the shirt and merged his name using the Architect font again. Hope my friend LOVES it like me!! Can't wait to see some pics of the birthday boy in it!!

a snow ONEderland birthday outfit!

A little something I put together for a dear friends daughter's first birthday! She brought me the little tutu and told me her color scheme. And she even showed me a few things she was interested in having...however....I couldn't find any of the same designs so I made my own!

I honestly LOVE how it turned out even it was a bit of work. I played around with it for some time. The 1 applique is actually from the Trendy Dot Applique Font from Embroidery Boutique. I deleted the circle that surrounded it first. Then I merged in 2 embroidery snowflakes that my friend Candice sent me (a HUGE thanks to her because I didn't have one). The dots are from the Vintage Chloe font from Embroidery Boutique...they are called embellishments for the font. I actually merged two of the same size and then the third one I increased the size 20 percent.

And lastly I merged in her name using the Giggles and Grins font from Applique Frenzy. I played around with her name and different fonts a lot. I would have liked a more curly one but her name is so long that I didn't have many options with my largest size being a 5x7 on my machine. So basically..it took a little time on the front end because I am just so darn picky and a little bit of a perfectionist but it turned out super cute and I had one HAPPY friend!! Yay!

strawberry birthday girl!

So my daughter just had her first birthday and I wanted to come up with some cute things to go with her Strawberry Birthday Party! First up...a party hat!! The 1 is from Anna Kate Applique font from Applique Momma and I merged in birthday girl using the Grasshopper Font from Applique Frenzy. Glued the material to the hat and added some green fuzzy stuff and there you have it!

The official party tee!! Here I used the same 1 from the Anna Kate font, a strawberry applique from Applique Cafe and merged in her name using the Grasshopper font.
The bloomers are the same design I used on the party hat. I made some bows and pinned them on the bottom so I could use them on other things!

The tutu was super easy too! I got the rolls of tulle from Hobby Lobby. I used elastic as my base part and sewed it together. Put on the tulle alternating with green, red, white, and pink. Then added some ribbon for just a little extra cuteness :)

The complete look!!!
And her bloomers!!
I love how it all turned out! I mean I am a little partial but I think she looked so adorable!!!

Max's BDay Shirt

Max had a Sports Birthday Party so to stay with the theme I made him this adorable shirt!! I just love how it turned out! The design is from Planet Applique and I merged in his name using the Tipsy Topsy font from Applique Frenzy!

The 3 is on the back using the applique font Cade from Embroidery Boutique! Max of course loved that he had a number 3 on his back like a sports jersey!!
And of course I had to coordinate it with his swim trucks since we were having a sports party with a water slide!!

I had a great time making this for you Kim! Hope you like it!!

This second picture is a little blurry but it is the back of the t-shirt!
The baseball bats and ball design are from Planet Applique and I merged his name with the design using Nelly's font.
The applique 1 is a Chunky Applique font from Embroidery Boutique and I merged in his name and those little baseballs (from Playball font) to make it super cute!!

Making a few things for friends here and there now that I am almost 34 weeks! Only 4 more days!! Wahoo! That means no more bedrest!! Yea!!
These two onesies are for baby gifts! Sweet little babies are being born everywhere!!!

This bib is for a friend of mines whose son is turning 1 soon!! I made the bib to match her theme of colorful polka dots! Super cute!!!

And this was a birthday gift for a sweet little boy Noah! I couldn't resist posting this because it turned out so cute!

Here is a close up! My friend Amy actually gave this towel to me to monogram for her to give. She had the brilliant idea to but his name between the fish at the bottom!! So freaking cute!

max's bday outfit

I couldn't resist making Max's bday outfit! I already made the shorts a while ago so I just made a shirt to go with them!
I had a lot of fun digitizing this design! This truck is actually an Embroidery Boutique Christmas applique the truck and tree. I just deleted the tree and added a 2....and wala it is a cute birthday shirt! As most of my family and friends know Max is obsessed with TRUCKS!! So what better bday shirt than this and of course Max LOVES it!

A close up of the truck! SUPER CUTE!!!
