Some helpful software info...

I have had many questions about what software I use to merge appliques and fonts and I wanted to let everyone know that I use Sew What Pro.

You can find info about Sew What Pro at http://www.sandscomputing.com/

They have a trial version that last 30 days that is FREE! And if you like it you can purchase the software for only $65 bucks! It is very user friendly and a very resonable price! Please let me know if you have any other questions! Thanks!

My BIGGEST order!

A friend of mine brought me a lot of things to do for her two youngest kids for the summer!

I had a lot of fun making things for her! I love how this baseball shirt turned out! I got the mini baseball design from Embroidery Boutique. I merged in two balls with the R using the Scooter Font from Jolson's Designs. I actually used the mirror image button with sew what pro so the balls looked like they were meant for a monogram. This next little outfit was a Walmart special! The shirt and skirt are Garanimals brand from Walmart. They are a whooping $3.88 a piece. I went and bought an extra skirt so that I could match the applique on the shirt. This flower is from Applique Cafe. It is super simple and I merged in Zoey's name using the Delightful Font from GG Designs.

This second outfit is also a Walmart special. I did the same thing as above. The butterfly design is also from Applique Cafe and I used the Giggles and Grin font from Applique Frenzy to merge in Zoey's name!

This adorable little dress is from Target!! Melissa actually got it from a consignment sale for 3 bucks!! I was so jealous! I love this sweet little dress! I merged Zoey's initials together using the Curlz font. This was actually one thing Melissa really said she wanted...the Curlz font. Almost everything else she told me some ideas of things she liked but told me to be creative ;)

A few more things for the baby girl!! All of these are monogrammed with Curlz font.

And this cute little owl is from Applique Market and I merged in her name using the Curlz font! I am guessing that this is one of Melissa's favorite fonts ;)

And here are a few more things for Ryan....the basketball design is from Planet Applique and I used the Whoa Nelly font from 8 Paws and Claws to merge in his name.

The baseball patch is one I made up (another idea I bummed off my friend Jessica). The square patch is from Applique Frenzy as the baseball was part of a girly patch from Applique Market. I deleted the patch and just layered the baseball onto the square patch using Sew What Pro!! Love that software!! Then I merged in Ryan's name using the Architect font from GG Designs!

And lastly another one of my favorites...a name shirt using the Cade Applique font from Embroidery Boutique!

I just love the layered look and the zig zag stitching!!! So stinking cute!

baby girl gift

Actually made this gift a while back but haven't been able to post it as it was a baby gift for a sorority sister of mine. Her best friend contacted me and asked me to make this onesie. She wanted me to make it just like a mutual friend of ours made...give a shout out to Jessica from www.lovefromtexas.com

The anchor applique is from Applique Cafe and I honestly have no idea what font I used to make her name!
I love love how they turned out!!

Our sorority is DG so these were "legacy" clothes so to speak. Hoping that Candice and Natasha loved them as much as I did!!

happy valentine's

Got Emery and Max's Valentine shirts made with a few weeks to spare! Go me!!

On Emery's I used the raggy heart applique from Applique Cafe and merged in lil sweetheart using the Grin and Giggles font from Applique Frenzy. Simple and cute!! Gotta love it!
On Max's I actually put the boxing applique from Applique Creations on his shirt first. Then later got the idea that I could add lil knockout and it could be his Valentine's shirt/everyday too! I merged in the wording using the Tipsy font from Applique Frenzy. If you look close it is not too centered to the design but it still looks decent enough to wear. Wish I would have thought to add the wording in the beginning. Oh well...Max loves it of course since he is really into boxing these days too...and that is all that really matters ;)

girl stuff

Made a few more things for Emery for the cooler weather...

I picked up these pants at JcPenny's on clearance a while back and picked up an extra pair to use for the applique.

I used the anchor applique from Applique Cafe and merged in her name using the Love Font from Jolson's designs! I am a DG so I thought my little girl could sport some DG love this winter/spring!!
And just a simple monogram using the Dollhouse (known as Sunny with Monogram wizard) font from The Itch 2 Stitch. I picked up this skirt at Children's Place a while back. Just wanted something cute to go with it!
Now on to Spring and Summer stuff!! Yay!! Come on warmer weather!!!

firetruck birthday!

A dear friend contacted me recently to make a shirt and bib for her nephew's FIRETRUCK birthday!!! I of course said "Yes!"

This little firetruck is from Applique Market. I merged in his name and the number 2 using the Architect font from GG designs.
On the back I put an applique number 2 using the Chunky Applique font from Embroidery Boutique.
The bib I used the same 2 that I used on the back of the shirt and merged his name using the Architect font again. Hope my friend LOVES it like me!! Can't wait to see some pics of the birthday boy in it!!

sports, sports, sports

As many of my friends know, my son is obsessed with basketball!! I have made quite a few basketball shirts for him but I am getting tired of him wearing them day in and day out. So made him one more for the cool weather. Found this cute applique/number combo at Applique Creations. This was my first time buying designs from this website. Have to say they stitch out pretty good!

Another obsession...bowling! I found this cute little applique at Applique Creations too! My son was SUPER excited when I showed him the design. He has been asking for a bowling shirt for some time now. He specifically wanted white pins and a blue bowling ball. LOL
They both turned out pretty good and just nice to have some other shirts for him!

a snow ONEderland birthday outfit!

A little something I put together for a dear friends daughter's first birthday! She brought me the little tutu and told me her color scheme. And she even showed me a few things she was interested in having...however....I couldn't find any of the same designs so I made my own!

I honestly LOVE how it turned out even it was a bit of work. I played around with it for some time. The 1 applique is actually from the Trendy Dot Applique Font from Embroidery Boutique. I deleted the circle that surrounded it first. Then I merged in 2 embroidery snowflakes that my friend Candice sent me (a HUGE thanks to her because I didn't have one). The dots are from the Vintage Chloe font from Embroidery Boutique...they are called embellishments for the font. I actually merged two of the same size and then the third one I increased the size 20 percent.

And lastly I merged in her name using the Giggles and Grins font from Applique Frenzy. I played around with her name and different fonts a lot. I would have liked a more curly one but her name is so long that I didn't have many options with my largest size being a 5x7 on my machine. So basically..it took a little time on the front end because I am just so darn picky and a little bit of a perfectionist but it turned out super cute and I had one HAPPY friend!! Yay!
