Some helpful software info...

I have had many questions about what software I use to merge appliques and fonts and I wanted to let everyone know that I use Sew What Pro.

You can find info about Sew What Pro at http://www.sandscomputing.com/

They have a trial version that last 30 days that is FREE! And if you like it you can purchase the software for only $65 bucks! It is very user friendly and a very resonable price! Please let me know if you have any other questions! Thanks!

babies, birthdays, and beaches!

Making a few things for friends here and there now that I am almost 34 weeks! Only 4 more days!! Wahoo! That means no more bedrest!! Yea!!
These two onesies are for baby gifts! Sweet little babies are being born everywhere!!!

This bib is for a friend of mines whose son is turning 1 soon!! I made the bib to match her theme of colorful polka dots! Super cute!!!

And this was a birthday gift for a sweet little boy Noah! I couldn't resist posting this because it turned out so cute!

Here is a close up! My friend Amy actually gave this towel to me to monogram for her to give. She had the brilliant idea to but his name between the fish at the bottom!! So freaking cute!

A few more things for baby girl..

I can't stop making things for baby girl! It is just so FUN to make girly things!!!
Wanted some sweet bloomers with her name for pictures!

I only had 2 burp cloths so I made some frilly girly ones for Miss Emery! Got to get some more burps so I can make her a few more!!

This was my first attempt putting ribbon on the bottom of the burp cloths. I have to say I didn't do that great of a job sewing in a straight line. I think I am going to try heat and bond next time. What do you other fellow sewers do to make the ribbon look so good on the bottom???

a cute little dress

Made this cute little dress for Emery right after I found out it was a girl! All I did today was monogram the front and put the buttons on! Can't wait to be able to sew some things for her once I get off bedrest!
I have made this dress pattern before just didn't know how to make the ruffle! Thanks to my dear friend Candice she taught me how easy (and a little time consuming) making ruffles are!
At least ruffles are SUPER CUTE so they make up for the time consuming part :) This was my first attempt so don't look to close....hopefully I will get the hang of it next time...
I even taught myself how to make covered buttons! Now that is definitely something that is super easy! I love how the covered buttons look!

I love how this dress is open in the back so you can see the matching monogrammed bloomers I embroidered!! Little Miss Emery is going to look precious in this outfit!

This is a 0-3 month pattern so hopefully Miss Emery will be able to wear it before it gets cooler out!!!

just for fun!

Got this cute little outfit from Carter's outlet when we went to the beach! I think I got it for about 3 or 4 bucks! So I put an "E" on the dress and bloomers and presto it is a FUN play outfit for little Miss Emery!!!

sweet and simple!

Made a little newborn onesie for Emery today! I used the Estro Polka Dot Font from Jolson's Designs (this site has nothing but 3 dollar fonts!!!) and I thought it turned out so cute! I didn't realize how TINY newborn onesies were until I pulled it out! Plus the "e" looks HUGH on it! Oh well...still a cute one for my sassy lil girl!
So, I am totally telling on myself by posting this...but it only took like 30 minutes! So for all of you out there that are keeping tabs on my bedresting...I promise I didn't overdo it!! I think I should have waited a few more weeks to get started on stuff for Emery because now I just want to sit at the embroidery and sewing machine and go to town!!! Only 22 more days of bedrest....only 22 more days....at least that is what I keep telling myself!!!

emery's first piece

I was a little BRAVE today! Took myself off bedrest long enough to make my sweet baby girl her FIRST monogrammed piece!! I think it turned out super cute!
Here is a little close up!

Can't wait to see Emery in this sweet little gown in a few months!!
